multiple peripherals

I'm thinking on a project to build an accessory for my phone however I have a few thoughts... would a modern android device support multiple peripherals at once... say i plug a galaxy s2 into a usb hub as the host... would it be able to plug multiple flash drives into that hub, recognize them, and access them?

If it were an externally powered hub, maybe. The SGS2 doesn't supply much power to the USB, so it probably couldn't handle more than one device without help.

The whole idea is to build a dock that will charge the phone while also sending a wireless signal to another device i would build that i would then plug into my tv... I'm sure there are things that i can buy to do this but i also thought it would be neat if i could plug a flash drive into the dock and use the phone to stream a movie from it to the tv.
