Multiple Phone Charger?

Hi

Once upon a time a dreamt that one day all my families phones would use the same charger so I could rid the bundle of chargers in the kitchen draw.

That day has arrived now our collection of Samsung S2, HTC Desire, Samsung Ace and Samsung mini all charge off the same type of charger.

We now have the problem that we all need to charge at the same time and wondered if anyone has come up with a charging unit that can charge 4 USB type phones at the same time

Any pointers most appreciated

It's not something I've ever come across, not saying it's not possible though.

I've seen a lot of reports of 3rd Party chargers making phones behave strangely when charging (screen truning on, apps opening etc, I can find some links if you like) so I can't imagine one that does 4 devices at the same time would be healthy.

You could try a 4 port, powered USB Hub and do them all from your PC?

Would that provide the power input to be able to charge all four?

If they weren't being used at the time, you'd probably be ok (it might take a little longer than normal though). It'd be safer than 4 from the mains anyway.

If you do decide to take it to the dragons, it's in print here that it was technically my idea btw.
