Root Multirom-Needs Tested

This will not allow you to multiboot yet, but if I can get this part figured out right, I will try my damndest to get the kernel in order. Needs a kernel that supports kexec-hardboot (just for the primary rom).
Also, help from other devs would be greatly appreciated considering that this is my first "real" attempt at anything like this.

I have attempted to port the Multirom recovery (TWRP-based) to the Avant. I can't test it because if it doesn't work, I have no access to a pc, so could not use Odin to re-flash stock recovery (or any working recovery).

I feel like it will work, though, but do not test unless you have a way to restore if it fails.

I am not responsible for any damages, blah, blah, blah, etc, etc...

Unzip and flash with either of these methods:

Flash on device with Flashfire app or through Odin on a PC...

You will also need Multirom Manager if/when we get the kernel sorted out.

Cool, I'll try it out, should I be on stock rom For this?

OK I've tried it, results were I had to reflash recovery using Odin. I flashed this then rebooted, as soon as I did that, my phone turned off and I had to pull the battery out, it would only reboot to recovery so I had no choice but to get into Odin mode and flash using pc. Otherwise great job on even attempting to get something that advanced on this phone! :)

I was afraid of that... Happened to me on my first trial last week, but was hoping I figured it out (but, was afraid to test because no pc atm)...

Thank you very much for testing it...

Could you possibly try again and share the logcat?

I should have a pc soon, though, then I'll be able to test it myself and make quick changes. I feel like it shouldn't be too hard. Might really just need to port from a different device. This was ported from the Galaxy Tab 4 8". DPI could be an issue.

Sure, just tell me how to get the logcat please, when I flashed it I could only reboot into the broken recovery, just pitch black lol. Adb maybe? Or even after flashing a working recovery I could find it somewhere? And awesome, hopefully we get this to work soon because I liked multirom on my nexus 5

ADB pull the log from the cache partition, I believe... I've only used logcats from within my phone, but pretty sure the boot logs are stored there...
TWRP has a file explorer... Could probably copy to extSD or USB...

Ok so I've tested the v2 recovery and so far the screen stays stuck at the "booting into recovery screen" and occasionally bootloops. I'm going to see if i can pull the logcat or not

yes I'm trying to download the test image but can't get it does anyone else have it?
Which one? I got the second one, the download link worked, if u still need it I'll upload, lemme know. And sorry Ciresiuol, I accidentally corrupted my windows partition and it was hell getting it back up and running, if u need a logcat, I'll do my best
