Help Multitasking

If I'm playing a game and get a txt why is it that if I open the txt reply and go to my multitasking screen open the game back up, It loads from the start?

Does this happen with a specific game or any game for that matter? Did you download the game(s) from the Play Store or somewhere else?

Hi thank you for replying, it's with all game's from the play store, it's very annoying. I'm use to ios multitasking which works very well

iOS doesn't multitask. It serial tasks inserting pauses in the action when you switch and resuming almost instantly when you switch back.

As to multitasking in on S3, I think you have to hold down the home button to access it. It's also what makes popup play possible.

I think multitasking is limited by whether the device can simultaneously use the necessary radios and/or process information quickly enough through the CPU/GPU and Ram. I'm not an expert though.

Texts and games should be able to multitask unless the game overloads the CPU/GPU and Ram or if it's somehow related to online play requiring continuous stream connection.

Thank you for your reply. Perfect example, was playing candy crush saga, the gf txt me so I held the home button opened the message app, replied to her and held home button again, click on game and it loaded from the beginning. Only had the game, but message and Gmail open in the multitasking screen

This is correct. Yet another thing that I figured out myself by just flubbing with it.

It sounds to me like this must have something to do with that particular game. I was just playing "The Lost City" and switching between the game and messages without the game reloading. It resumed exactly where I left off.
