Music App Thinks My Ringtone Is a Song

So, I'm listening to my music on my phone and it plays my ring tone as one of the songs. My ring tone is a .WAV file stored in the Ring Tone folder on the SD card. My music is all stored in the Music folder.

Anyway to get the Music app to ignore my ring tone file?

Install File Manager, free from the Market.

Open it and navigate to your ringtone folder.

Open the folder and then Menu > Exclude from media scan

This will then hide the contents of your ringtone folder from the Music player.

Just noticed there is a free app in the market called StudioKuma .nomedia Manager

I tried something similar, but it did not work. I give this a try again later. I may have done it wrong.

What I ended up doing is using Ringdroid app to convert the MP3 to a ring tone. I assigned it as a ring tone. Then I deleted the original MP3 file, so my music player doesn't see it.
