Help Music as a ringtone?

or you can create a folder in the root directory of your SD card labeled "ringtones". While you're at it, you can create "notifications" and "alarms" folders and put whatever you want in them. After you've disconnected from your PC, you'll see those files in the lists for those functions.

This is how I did it.

You need 2 programs.
1. Ringroid: It allows you to cut songs, and make it however, long or short you want or choose whatever part of the song you want. You obviously first have to transfer music from your computer to your phone, and you do that through the USB, dragging whichever music file to the Android phone and syncing.
2. Rings Extended: Once you install, it does not launch or anything. But if you go to settings;notifications, or whichever part you want to set your music as a ringtone, if you select it, they will give you two options, android system, or rings extended, and you go to rings extended, and check whatever song you want.

There you have it. Hope this helps.

I just copied the MP3 I used on my RAZR to a folder on the memory card called RIngtones. Told the phone that's what I wanted, and it's the same as it was on the RAZR.

Oh yeah...it's the first 20-30 seconds of Stevie Ray's Scuttle Buttin'. I used to use Stairway to Heaven, but I couldn't hear it when it was in my pocket.

No need for additional software. Just log press the song in the built in music player and select "Use as phone Ringtone".

lol epic fail by everyone else that tried to help.

unless you want like a middle of a song.. then i guess thats a different story.
