music cover art

We don't yet have the music store in the UK, so I'm putting music onto my Nexus by copying it over. But the cover art won't show.

Usually if you create folders for each song or album and add the jpg to that folder it will display it in the music app; this works on my HTC phone and Transformer tablet, but not on my N7!!??

How do I show the art?

What music player are you using?

Often you just need to put an image (search google if you don't have it) of the correct type for the album in it's respective album folder.

I heard Google music came to the UK? Or did I just dream that... If you had uploaded your tracks the way you described, the album art should have turned out just fine like you said. I guess the music app doesn't add album art by itself then. One thing you could do is install a music library on your pc that embeds album art into the music files. I'm pretty sure media monkey does something like that.

Or use a different music app. I've been using power amp on my phone for years and it recognizes album art fine but it also has a pretty good way of searching and adding it by itself.
