Help Music cuts out whenever a notification comes in

Hey everyone,

Just got my new S3 after converting from an iPhone 4. Loving it so far. My only complaint is that if a notification comes in while listening to music, it completely stops the music. It doesn't just fade it out, it completely kills the song and then it restarts mid song a second later. Is there any way to get around this?
