Music doesn't pause after unplugging headphones

I have been facing this issue, where unplugging the headphone/ earphone from the included adapter doesn't pause the music and continues playing from the phone speakers.
Apart from the above issue, for some weird reason I can't use the remote keys in the earphones to skip tracks. Is anyone aware of any fixes?

I don't use the plug in headphones, I use Bluetooth ones and all the features work fine. As far as pausing whhen you remove the jack, not sure about that.

I'm assuming your headphone auto pause/resume issue is tied to the media player app you're using. Which one are you using?
With both MX Player and VLC, buried in their respective Settings menus are options to enable/disable this feature.

I haven't experienced a phone without a headphone jack since the T-Mobile G1. Try PowerAmp instead of your default music player.
Can't hurt, might help. There's a free trial.

Thanks guys. The problem was the music streaming app that I was using, 'saavn'. Everything works like a charm with google music.
