music dont show up In my library

So I put my sd card in from my old phone and I can go in my file mAnager and find them that way. But when I open the music player app or google play music I cant get any of my music that way. Its annoying because I can only listen to one song at a time through the file mAnager. Also I had to post this thread through the website because I couldn't figure out how to start a new thread on the android forum app

kind of a late reply but I believe you have to have all of your music in the music folder that would be on your SD card. I did the same thing with my old SD card just by installing it without reformatting and it couldn't find any of my music either
