Root Music files on Ideos 8150

Hello
We recently bought a Ideos 8150 for our son[13 yrs] for his birthday.

We r still getting used to the specs and other functins of the phone.


At this stage we have a few queries:

• We have inserted a new 4GB Micro SDHC card, to start using the camera and music player in the phone.
• We are unable to listen to the transferred/copied [music]files form our home PC into the phone. It says 'this phone/player does not recognize the type of file/s.
• Are we missing out some part/step?
• We just need to use this phone for calls, texts and sometimes listen to music. We avoid using it for other purposes like GPS, emails etc..as it uses up the 'data limit' or 'credit'

Please let us know how other users transfer and listen to music on this phone.

What type of files are they? How are you opening them, and how did you do the transfer?

when i open some mp3 files, (downloaded from youtube converter) They dont give sound either...

Hi Andr Bedekar, I would strongly advise you to Download the User Manual from here:HUAWEI IDEOS - Huawei Device Co., Ltd..

Go to > Downloads > Select English language > and go to bottom entry. It's in PDF and I have opened with Foxit Reader and printed the whole Manual. It's all explained on pages 11 and 30. Makes it a lot easier when you can follow printed instructions. Cheers Neil.
