Help Music files

I am so frustrated with Android right now. I wanted to transfer my music files to my Galaxy S4 and no player I have tried displays or plays them correctly. I have a lot of compilation albums so use Album Artist to make sure they are grouped correctly. But even with albums with one artist, some are showing up in Unknown. Also, they don't play correctly. Is there a limit on bit rate? Most are 320kbps. Does it Android have an issue with anything over 128kbps? These all play and display fine on my iPod, which I'm trying to replace. Any help would be appreciated

It's not the bit rate.

Many players don't recognize all codecs or open all container types (files).

PowerAmp and Neutron Player do.

At that bit rate, they must be after Apple dropped their FairPlay DRM.

Am I correct that no copy protection is involved as part of the problem?

This organization under my sd storage Music folder worked for me for the unknown artist thing. (That unknown artist folder I made intentionally.)

These were not bought through iTunes. I'm not sure what the issue is. I'm think it may be the SD card and hoping it's not the S4. I actually deleted all the music and copied albums one at a time, then checked that it was ok. I just went back in and tried to play some music that I tested before and it won't play or doesn't show any more. So frustrating.

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing it's the SD card. Formatter formatted it just fine, but SD Insight shows it as being "invalid." I transfer music over and most plays fine but some seem to be garbled or the ID3 tag isn't completely transferred. Looks like I'll be looking for another 64Gb SD card.

Yeah, sounds like you got burned.

Sorry my friend.
