I know this has been asked, I am reviewing alot of the answers. I just got an S5 and I am prying my music from itunes grip. Most of it has been ripped from cd's.
On my pc they are in *.m4a format. When I move them to my SD card I am given the option to convert or just copy. I have done some of each, copy of course goes to .m4a and convert takes it to .wma. Both play on my s5, I mostly listen on my jambox or ear buds, or connected via blutooth to my car.
Seems that .m4a is regarded as a good format, lossless and space saver. I think that is the way to go.
Which format is better, space is not a big concern since I bought the 128G sd card.
Thanks for your reply
Mike
