Music on Memory Stick

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. I have some music on a memory stick which I want to transfer to my Tab 2.
Is there any way to transfer the music via the USB to 30-pin Adaptor without having to go through a computer, please?
 
I bought an adapter that allows me to put a USB `thumb` drive in it and it in turn plugs into the charging port. Using `File Manager` I can then make transfers both directions.
 
Thanks for the info. It turns out that the Memory Stick/Thumb Drive I was using wasn't compatible with the tablet. I tried another one and it worked fine.

Where can I get an adapter from - could be useful as I have a lot of files I could use/copy on memory sticks

I searched eBay for
Samsung Galaxy 10.1 charging port adapter
. . .seems to still cost less than 3 bucks. . Make sure USB is specified if you are using standard
'thumb drives'
