music on phone

[Android Question]

I have a new galaxy note 2 on Vodafone. When I transfer music to the phone by kies or Microsoft music player drag and drop I get either a message saying "no longer available" or music is scrambled. This is all music I own in mp3 format in ms media player. Any suggestions please.

Were these mp3s ripped with DRM box checked? If so, the authentication is on your computer and can't be transferred. Good news is that you can re-rip them if you have the physical media and unchain the DRM box to allow the files to be used on your phone.
