Music player issues

I listen to podcasts on my to work on the G1. I'm finding that Music player doesn't remember where I left off when I go back to it. I have to again find the last track I was listening to and continue from there. I thought creating a playlist will help. The playlist is there, but again I have to go back and try to remember what track I listened to last. Very annoying.

Has anyone here figured out how to get this to work correctly?
