Help Music Player not showing music

Any of the music players installed on my phone are not showing my music files saved on my phone.

Look for a (*no media) file in the folder with your music files. If that file is there, just erase and reboot

There is no such file there!

Where exactly did you place your music files? What's the name of the folder and is it on your internal storage or on an SD card?

Have you actually been into the settings of each player and set your music files location explicitly? And what sort of "music files" are they? mp3s for example.

I'm not sure what music players you are using. Some scan for music files when the device boots up.

I use ... Power Amp – professional music player/equalizer
Poweranp Music Player (Trial) – trial version
Poweramp Full Version Unlocker – unlock paid
... and it has a settings option to rescan whenever I choose (without rebooting).

Thanks to all for helping!
I got the default player to recognize all my music files (mp3's), by doing a factory reset.
