OK so i have a problem with the music player on my galaxy s3 mini. I am trying to put 900 or so songs on my sd and play them. The music player seems to pick and choose which ones to display. some times it will play a few seconds of a song then skip it sometimes it wont show certain artists. I have tried two sd cards i have tried it in another persons phone and it works. The songs that dont work will sometimes work........ and the songs that did work will sometimes not work so i am sure it is not the files or the card....... i have also tried it in a replacement phone i got and still wont work. I have switched my phone off and on and formatted the memory cards and re transferred all the files numerous times via both kies and drag and drop nothing seems to work, can anybody help????

You obviously have done all the initial steps to troubleshoot your problem. I think the problem is related more to the formatting of the SD card and how your Samsung phone reads it. From the amount of music you are using, I assume you are using a 32 or 64GB microSD. I would try reformatting your microSD with your PC. A nice program for this is GUIFormat which is a free program easily found by a Google search. This will format the card into FAT32 format. The only downside of FAT32 is that it has 4GB file size limit which means you will not be able to load huge video files on the card. I hope this helps.
