Music player sound issues?

Hi, I attach my HTC Hero to my speakers at home to listen to music but I'm finding the bass is far too much for my speakers and drowns out the music.

Is there a music player on the market where I can adjust the bass settings when playing music and/or treble so I can play it through my speakers?

I like Bass but it's ridiculous the amount I'm getting.
