Music player that handles podcasts properly?

Is there a music player that handles podcasts properly? What I mean is like Ipods do - keeping them seperate from other music so they don't appear in Albums or Artists etc, giving you info on the name and date and ideally letting you know whether you've already listened to it or not?

Or is there a non music-player option that does this better - such as a podcast app?
