I did use Google play, that's what I always use. Do you have a Pixel 2 XL or pixel 2? If so, what media player do you use to play music?
Neither of those devices.

as far as i understand i suggest you to use google play.
No, the volume level sucks using the basic music player. That's my biggest complaint about this phone coming from an iPhone 6+. That phone's music player was awesome and compared to this one on the 2 XL; it's almost night and day.
Are you attempting to play music that was copied from your iPhone? If so, it's possible that those files may be protected with Apple's DRM. I think it's more likely that the problem is with the media files rather than the media apps you've tried.
I believe some people have reported luck if you copy the files to a PC first and then to the Pixel 2 XL. I'll see if I can dig up some other threads on the topic...

I purchased poweramp. Im disappointed because of the notification/status bar bug. I cant click anything on notifications. And also on lock screen. The buttons are all white. Do you know how to fix that?
There is an answer over at the Poweramp forums nienggardoce. But you have to sign up over there to download the app. clever_man developed a Quick fix for notification on Android Oreo 8.1 to fill the gap until the next major release.

I don't think it is iTunes unless the library is very old: iTunes music has been DRM-free for a very long time now (I have music purchased from iTunes on my phone as well as other sources, and it all works fine). And I've used PowerAmp, Neutron and USB Audio Player Pro on my Pixel 2, and all work fine.
