Music plays through speakers when phone rings

I tend to listen to music on my android razr maxx hd phone with bluetooth headphones. This works great except when someone calls me. When my phone detects an incoming call I hear a generic ring tone (not the normal ringtone) through the bluethooth headphones and the music starts playing out of the phone speakers. Which annoys my co-workers especially if I left my desk. If I have wired headphones plugged in this does not happen. In this case the music stops playing and I hear my normal ringtone through the headphones.

Any ideas on how to make the Bluetooth headphones work like wired ones?
