Help Music quits when screen goes dark

Hi everyone. I have been having and issue with my S7 where i may be playing music from Spotify or streaming a message from a speaker i like, and the music quits after 2 songs or the message quits shortly after the screen goes dark. Is this normal?

Do you have power saver on? Or is the app optimized? That turns off the app once the phone is not in active use anymore.

Or, you could have WiFi go to sleep with the device and Spotify to stream over WiFi only. I'd suggest keeping WiFi awake even when the phone sleeps.

I never gave the Power Saving feature a thought. That may have been it.
