Hey.. I have 5508 songs in my music folder according to 'right click, properties'.

but when I import that folder into winamp playlist I only have 5083 songs total.

why the few hundred song difference? thanks a bunch guys!

Are there songs of a filetype which winamp can't play? Try looking in the folder and sorting by file type.

I checked it out.. All i have is mpeg layer 3 audio, mpeg-4 audio file and windows media audio file.... and I checked with winamp and they all are there for each type of format.. ill check with another audio player and see

ok so I went into my music folder and highlighted all the songs and there is 5083. So winamp is accurate to the amount of songs I have but for some reason the properties of the folder says there is 400+ more files in there .. hmmmm

Could be that Right click/Properties is picking up non-music files such as cover art jpgs, thumbnails, folder property .ini files, etc.

Do you have hidden files shown? If not, thats where the rest of those files are. You can turn that on by going into your control panel --> Folder Options -->Click the radio button that says show hidden files. I will warn you though, do NOT go deleting random stuff from your computer. IMO, use this feature sparingly. If youre better off with computers than the average person, feel free to leave all files showing. Youll know what to and what NOT to delete. Hope this helps you out.
