Muting phone ring while on Bluetooth

Is it possible to mute the phone's internal ringer while connected to a Bluetooth headset? When connected the headset rings to indicate an incoming call but the phone rings also. This behavior is consistent across three different Bluetooth devices. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I set the phone to priority mode. I do this when listing to music at home mostly. You will still receive visual alerts just no annoying alert noises.
