MX player

can't play .avi files on my brand new Asus Transformer. Downloaded mx player and video codec. It then said my version of mx player was too old to use the codec so I need to update. When i attempt to update it constantly gets to 24% then stops. Any ideas as to why this continually happens?

I don't know the answer to your downloading problem, but I threw away MX Player and its codecs and instead downloaded (free from the Play Store) BSPlayer Lite and RockPlayer Lite . They will play your avi files and almost anything else.

I've not used it much on the Transformer, but on my Optimus V I use QQPlayer and haven't encountered anything it can't play.

I ended up downloading the two that Caravaggio suggested. Both work well so far. I will chech this QQplayer out too.
