I am trying to install an update on my MX9 TV box (I wish to update Kodi to the latest version). When I try to install it through recovery I get a no command error. The controller does nothing at this point. Any pointers?

Sounds like trying to flash the wrong firmware update. For the correct one, suggest you check with the manufacturer or supplier of the MX9.

But as soon as I put it into recovery it does this not after flashing the update. When I turn it off and on again it loads up as normal on the original firmware
