MXQ Remote question

Hi
I just purchased a Sharp/Roku TV. Now, when I press the "Up" button on my MXQ remote, the TV kicks back to its home screen. No other direction buttons affect the TV and I have not paired the MXQ remote with the TV.
Any suggestions or tips?

Sounds like the Sharp TV is using the same IR code the MXQ uses, but for different functions. Not sure if you can do anything about that. Maybe keep them out of sight of each other?

Could be that both devices are using the same IR control chip-set?

Until you do actually pair up your MXQ remote to your new TV, that remote can't do its job. Sounds like the MXQ remote is still emitting signals from a previous TV and since most manufacturers will rely on their own IR signal codes for their own products it's unlikely for your remote to work the same for both TVs. Dig up the manual for your MXQ, pair it to your new TV, and then see if it works.
