My apologies if already asked...screen lock ?

I'm looking for an app to lock the screen while I'm in a call. If I take the phone away from my face just a little bit it comes on and then starts pushing buttons when I put the phone back to my face. It's driving me crazy. Or there may be a setting, I'm not sure. Thank you for any assistance.

Oh my sorry, I guess it would help if you knew, huh? It's a Motorola Droid.

The Droid has a proximity sensor and automatically shuts down the screen when you put it close to your face during a phone call. I am surprised you are having a problem. Could there be a problem with the sensor? Try making a call and put your hand on the screen once the call is connected. If it doesn't shut off there is a problem.

Well that's what I'm wondering b/c I have just started having issues with it and I have had this device since it forst came to Verizon. I just thought I would check here first before I went into the store to have it looked at.

Are you putting the phone directly against your ear or over your hair? Could your hair be throwing off the sensor?
