Help MY Contact Picture Doesn't Show/Text

I've assigned a picture of myself in my phone contacts and it shows up.
I can't figure out how to assign and see the same picture in a text dialog using the default text program. If I tap on the blank contact icon next to my my dialog, I get the following, "the contact does not exist". Is it possible to assign my picture to my outgoing texts?

Don't make a standard contact entry for yourself, instead use the contact identified as "Me" just below In Case of Emergency contact. Your pic should start appearing from that point onward.

Thank you! I will give that a try later today. I had myself listed under contacts twice...once as "ME" and once as "Monica". Decided to delete one to see if that would help. I deleted "ME" <lol>

Please, where do you find this 'Me' contact just below 'in case of emergency'?
