My Contacts

Hi folks ...... I'm a newbie to smartphones. Just turned in my motorola razor believe it or not. Anyway, I'm starting a new business that's 100% on the road and this is the reason I got the DroidX 2.2.

My question is this if anyone could help...... how many contacts will my droidx hold upon importing them from a cloud computing contact management system ? I hope one day to have around 4,000 accounts. Yes .... that's 4,000 accounts. Of course they won't be very active but still will do business. Will this smartphone hold those 4,000 contacts and let me retrieve them quickly by just putting a last name for the phone to find ?

Thanks for any input on this and I'll be reading these forums to try and learn about these android phones.

I currently have 1500 contacts on my Galaxy Apollo 3 so I'm assuming that you could have upwards of 4000, especially on that device.

You can add memory cards of up to x amount of gigs...You could have hundreds of thousands of contacts if you really wanted to. Try that on a razr!

Thanks guys .... I appreciate the input, i'm comfortable with the phone to do as I need from your responses. Lol @ trying to put 4,000 contacts on a Razor

Glad to help, I think you can also put contacts on the SD card, if not with the native program you should be able to via some app on the market, a contact should not take up very much memory.
