my fame mobile won't connect with wifi

Samsung fame which wife uses will not connect to wifi in our house. Yet my Samsung Galaxy3 does and so do mobiles of son and daughters. Took it to O2 shop who sent it away to their workshop, checked it out and couldn't find any faults. Several times tried pressing "forget" and tried to connect many times. Password entered correctly and settings are right but all it tells us is signal strength very strong on one page but then on another page "Attention" network disabled......Poor connection but all other phones, laptop and tablet all work fine with wifi.
Also her mobile works in O2 shop.
Guru at O2 says to try phoning Virginmedia(our I.P) as he thought it must be our router. But no, nothing to do with router it works well otherwise.

Right now wife can only use "roaming" and that eats up data rapidly !

Would greatly appreciate any help or tips. Thankyou.

Hello and welcome to the forums. Sorry for the time it taken to respond . now to fix the s3 you can log on the WiFi . what you want to do is reboot the s3. If this Dont work you may want to do a factory data reset . this will wipe your device to be JUST AS IF YOU TAKEN IT OUT OF THE BOX . yes this will delete all items on the Device not the SD card. But just try the log in to the WiFi and reboot the s3 once you see connected

Thanks for replying.

First, it is not the S3 but the Galaxy Fame model.
Secondly, don't think my wife would want a re-set to factory settings as she has already lost a load of personal pictures when O2 workshop tested it!

Appreciate your tip anyway, thanks.

Yes, tried connecting to wifi then switched phone off. Tried with phone back on to connect with wifi but still no joy. Not going to go factory reset as its a bit of a pain getting everything back on.

Thanks again, anyway.
