My fotos on Micro SD card disappeared

suddenly Shazam and Google translate were gone (both were on 8GB micro-SD card) I didn't see them there and installed them again with no logos on screen, just a grey sign looking like SD card. Everything came back like before all my Shazam and the few kept translations I had wanted to keep. TODAY I wanted to move some pictures from the whatsapp folder to different albums (most of them on 8GB micro-SD card) and they were ALL GONE!!! I need them back (approx 500 or more) What can I do.??
PS. The logos are back on the screen (probably because I reinstalled?) please help!

could be a file error.. or a failing SD card.

Either way, NOW is the time to make sure you backup anything else on there that you care about.. these things rarely get better by themselves.

(Its probably also a good time to check your backups, including any cloud based sync that you had setup like google photos etc)
