My Galaxy is getting warm: Is this usual?

Since a few days I have a new Galaxy S plus and tried out some things and called some people. Nothing extraordinary.

Much to my surprise the mobile phone is getting really, really warm after a while.

Can this be?

From approx a half dozend of other mobile phones I didn't experienced
this heat up.

Is this usual?

Unusual - have you noticed reduced battery life these days when it is getting hot ?

Mine started doing the same, it was actually overloaded with all kind of accounts like yahoo, facebook, twitter etc and all were syncing in the background and eating up too much battery and phone heating up.

I reflashed the firmware and now it is back to normal.
