My HTC One is showing X and Y axes

I have an HTC One, android 4.1.2. The problem is that it is on top of the status bar, there is now another bar, showing values for the Y and X axes and they change depending on where I tap on the phone. O top of everything, a thin line appears when I drag my finger anywhere on the screen. The functionality of the phone hasn't been affected at all, but it is really frustrating to see that bar on top of my beautiful OS.

Go to Settings->Developer Options. There is a setting called Pointer Location. Uncheck that and you should be good.
