Help My Internet doesn't seem to be connecting in some apps

I have a Galaxy S6 and it seems like in some of my apps don't connect to the Internet, but if I go to their website everything works fine like to pay a bill and such.

Any idea what I need to do? Thanks!

Charlie

Sure you're about the third or fourth in the last day or two, that's reported same thing, about some apps not connecting to the internet. Amazon Web Services had a major data centre outage, and apparently Google has been having problems as well quite recently. So maybe related. Try again later I think. They could still be picking up the pieces.

This has been going on for a while with me. Just an example; when I try to go to the app to pay my phone bill through the app it just says receiving account information.

Are you using any type of firewall app that is allowing traffic from your browser, but not the other apps. The activity you describe sounds like it.

Some Chinese phones to. I know there are various data apps on Huawei and Le Eco phones. They claim to prevent "high data use" apps from burning through your allotment. They are really acting as simple firewalls. Check through your settings. If you have one of the affotmentioned brand phones I may be able to point you in the right direction for where to find it in the settings.
