The fingerprint option is no longer on my lg g6 plz help

On my phone (Android 7) if you activate the screen wake-up using fingerprint scanner, you can unlock it with your fingers.

I dont even have that option.
And it also says ' fingerprint sensor no respons. Reset compent.'

It sounds like the scanner isn't working. If the hardware has failed then the option to record your fingerprint won't be available. Did you by chance get the 2-year warranty when you got the phone?
