My LG keyboard squeezed

Lurker
For some reason, my LG keyboard (LG V30+) changed its width. It occupies 2/3 of the screen and can be moved rightwise or leftwise.
I prefer to return it back to its original format.

How can it be done?

Is this occurring only while you're holding your phone in landscape mode or in portrait mode, or is in both?
It this only happens in landscape mode, it sounds like it's just 'stuck' in its portrait mode appearance. Could be just a one-off glitch so rebooting your phone might solve the problem. If after a restart the problem is still there, go into your Settings >> Apps menu, find the listing for your keyboard app and open it, find the 'Clear cache' button and tap it, then see if your keyboard is still not showing up properly.

Settings>>Apps doesn't include LG Keyboard.
I tried overcoming the problem by installing SwiftKey keyboard and it does appear.
As to the portrait-landscape issue, the problem appears only in portrait mode, not in landscape, but rebooting doesn't solve it.

While trying to locate the LG Keyboard configuration screen' I swiped screen leftwise, and the problem disappeared.
I'm puzzled. How come? What's the connection between my act and the problem?

Settings -> Apps will include the LG keyboard somewhere. You may have to tell it to "show system" before you see it, it may have a different name (like just Keyboard), but it will be in there.

I don't have this phone so don't know its options, but it sounds like you got it into a "one-handed" mode (some keyboards have this, where there is an option to shrink the keyboard into something that can be more easily reached by a single thumb). Perhaps there is some gesture to get it out of this mode, which you accidentally triggered?
