Help My Moto G (2013) won't update to Lollipop and it's not rooted.

I have bought this Moto G today, and was willing to update it to the last android update. Anyway, whenever I try the "update software" option, it says it's already updated, while it's currently running android 4.4.4 After some reading I found that I needed this app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.ccc.ota

But when I try to update the app, it says that the device is incompatible. Then I read that if the device has been rooted, it won't update, so installed this app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck

And it said that my Moto G has not been rooted, and this is where I don't know what else to do.

The mobile is an Moto G XT-1040, originally from Movistar Argentina, but I bought it here, in other country. Maybe that's the reason why I can't update it? Any help will be appreciatted, thank you very much for reading.

PD.- I have installed Motorola Device Manager and ran it, it says that there is no update for teh device, and the actual version is 21.31.1.peregrine_tefla.tefla.en.01, don't know if it helps somehow.
