My home screens used to be an app icon and folder garbage pile. It took a long time to figure out exactly how I wanted to adjust things... But I think I'm there.

Have you changed or updated your layout lately?

Wow, that's pretty... minimal! I suppose if you like the least amount of stuff on your screen (and lots of room for the turtle), that's awesome.

I'm on the other end of the spectrum: all that screen real estate? I'm packing it, baby! I have my most commonly-used apps (and more apps in folders) front and center! It took a heck of a live wallpaper to lure me away from Asteroids Pack, which is still one of the best LWPs on Android. But this is Shadow Galaxy, and it's absolutely mesmerizing!

Compare that to the home screen on my Motorola Droid from July, 2010... we've made a little progress, huh?

That's how my home screen used to look!

But recently I refocused my layout to better prioritize productivity and am using Nova Launcher Gestures to keep things looking super simple while still being able to access the most important stuff.

Nova Gestures are amazing.

As for the wallpaper, I'm actually using Google Wallpapers to rotate them daily/automatically. Doing the underwater theme now but probably will go back to landscapes.

I like a minimal approach and always have. I keep folders grouped by use and most used apps. I got rid of the search bar in favor of assistant, especially with a wear device. The battery widget is just an old habit that I can't seem to break.

The wallpaper is ... what any proud grandparent would use, enhanced with Prisma. :D
