Help My new tablet battery drains when its off, how can I fix that?

I just got a new Asus memo pad 8 tablet and I charged it for 8 hours before using it for the first time like it says to do so. The problem is that the battery drains when the tablet is off (sleep mode) I left it at 60% and 9 hours later it was at 30%, I turned off wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, app sinking and even lowered the screen brightness all the way down.. When I'm using the tablet the battery is really good, lasts a long time but when its in sleep mode its when it drains... The tablet wasn't expensive but it was supposed to have good battery life after doing some research. So what could be the problem? How can I fix that? Thank you!!

By "sleep mode" do you just mean "screen off, not being used"? My guess (and since all I know is that it is losing power at a higher rate than you expect it is only a guess) is that it's not really sleeping: some process is keeping it awake.

I suggest installing a battery monitoring app like GSam Battery Monitor. Leave the device sleeping for a number of hours, then look at the monitor app and see what is using the power. If you click on "applications" you can see various different data, including "total time kept awake" which will help you identify if my guess is right. But once we know what is using the power we'll be able to figure out what can be done about it.

Thank you, I will download that battery monitor app and see whats going on.

Hello there, I downloaded the battery monitoring app and now I know what's causing the battery to drain when its in sleep mode, its the Kernel (Android OS) and Android System. What can I do about it so the battery stops draining overnight? Thank you!!

Did you do all the updates I think it may have 2 out of the box . check for updates one is a battery fix and the next is a adb and touch screen issue .

Yes, there was 2 updates and as a matter of fact there was a new update today, the tablet is updated!! But I don't really think it will fix the problem, if it doesn't is there anything I could do?
