Help My phone automatically changes from sound to vibrate and vibrate to sound?

My Galaxy S3 randomly turns from Vibrate to Sound or Sound to Vibrate. It will change to Vibrate, and then to Sound again, this is a serious problem as this happens in school and I could get my phone confiscated if it starts ringing. I thought Tasker could be the reason, but I tried uninstalling Tasker; I still face the same problem. What should I do? Hard/Factory Reset?
 
It could be that the volume control is getting pressure on it. Pressing the volume control to lowest/highest does this ... Maybe try keeping your phone in a different place where there would be no pressure at any time. In pockets, there is inevitably various forces as you move around, bend etc.

Firstly even if you try to use the volume buttons yourself it will not work as it has a pattern lock.

Secondly my query has been solved, I restored my phone, anyway thanks for your help.
 
Hi Ghost, I have the same problem with a Galaxy Note 2. It changes automatically from sound to vibrate to silent even when I leave it alone on the table.

Good to hear your problem has been solved. Would you mind sharing what did you do to solve it?
 
I searched on the websites and it said it could be because of an app so I backed up my phone and all the data using Kies, Google Account Samsung Account and my own PC of course :) then I restored my phone to factory settings (a Hard Reset)
(If you don't know how to do this, its you go to Settings>Back up and Reset> Factory data reset)

Once I did that I didn't face that problem again, and beware of which applications you download and which one could cause this. Hope I helped :) please tell me if it worked for you. Thanks
