I've been using MPE without any problems and now all of the sudden when I try to sync I get this message:

Connection to phone could not be established: Failed to obtain the IP address of the phone.

Any ideas?

Never mind. I rebooted by computer and it's working again. I did start getting a message about it being incompatible with the operating system but it syncs regardless.

I always use MPE in wifi mode and used to get these messages (this was several verions/years ago mind!). At the time I solved it by having my wifi router give out the phone's ip using 'bind ip to mac' so it always had the same ip. Therefore MPE used a 'fixed' ip every time. Always works since. Though as you've found a reboot of pc and/or router also fixed ip problems ....
