My phone keeps using WiFi to make calls

Go to setting, and check under your carrier settings, there should be an option in there to turn of WiFi calling. On my X4 it the setting is under the cellular section, not under WiFi.
Wi-Fi calling is a thing now, and uses VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) to make internet calls instead of the cell service. It is a valuable tool for people who have plans with limited talk time each month.

Well, I for one get concerned when my wifi is supposed to be off, yet my "wifi calling" opens itself when I don't know it and my calls Beep and wcho, I check and see that it's on... and then won't allow me to shut it off. Light blue or as I usually call it "greyed out". A common theme in every phone I've bought in the past 6 years.
I have the same issue and I have Sprint. It turns on then won't let me turn it off. Usually I restart my phone. Same with chat not working or android auto not working.
