Accessories My phone lags when wifi is turned on.

When ever I turn on my wifi my phone lags but when it lags I reboot my phone then it doesn't lag. I've been thinking that this might be a software problem and that I might install a custom ROM. But I need to know if the software is the problem soo that I won't install a custom ROM for nothing

More details please.
-- What phone do you have and which version of Android is it running?
-- Are you having problems connecting to just one particular WiFi network or is it a problem with any WiFi network?
-- What have you already tried to address the problem? (i.e. Forget and re-add the WiFi network? Network Reset? If the problem is with your home WiFi have you rebooted your router?)

-Phone is a Myphone My28s(local phone yet surprisingly good and sturdy)
-it is a Android 5.1.1
-It will lag to every wifi(pocket wifi, hotspot, router etc.)
-I already tried forgetting and re-adding the wifi, network reset, and rebooted the router several times. I even did a hard reset I even flashed it.

With an Android phone that only has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, that's clearly a lower-end, budget-class model.
It's not a software issue, it's a hardware issue, your phone simply isn't capable to used as a daily usage phone. Lag and performance issues are not a sign of something fixable, you need to expect them as a norm.
Really, if possible stop aggravating yourself on false expectations and get a newer, better phone. There are plenty of budget class phones that come with better hardware specs, arguably 2GB of RAM and 16GB is a more acceptable baseline for a typical usage phone.

One possibility for the lag are updates which you might have enabled for wifi only. With limited resources the updates can't be processed so they continually fail. Every time you enable WiFi, the phone tries updates again and that's when the lag appears. If you are trying to use Facebook or Whatsapp then those resource hogs will only make things worse. I have to agree with @svim. Time for a new phone. :(
