My phone will not stop looping between the Alcatel boot and powering off...

Okay, I have had this device for two years and I've never had problems until recently (about 2-4 months ago). My cellphone had developed a habit of heating up a lot so I kept it out of places where it could heat up (i.e., out of my pocket, away from the sun, away from my body, etc.) and it was fine. However, two days ago I had gotten back home from being away for a month, where I had used my phone probably a lot more than I ever did, and it had died on the way home. When I got home, I charged it and left it on the charger for about three hours and found it on a full battery. However, once I tried to turn it on, it started to go into a loop between showing the Alcatel startup screen and the white MetroPCS screen. I managed to get it to stop long enough to boot on, for me to unlock my screen and stare at the home page for a minute or so, but then it shut off and it started doing it again. I've factory reset the phone three times, cleared the cache from the command center, and I've removed the battery and tried turning it on several times. IF there's anything more I can do, I would love to know about it as I am at my wits end... However, on the highly probable chance that there's nothing I can do, I'll just have to buy a new cellphone. I'm really attached to this model and it holds a lot of irreplaceable information on it so I am working hard to get it to work properly again. Any help is appreciated!
