It happened about a week ago (week ago) when I downloaded battery doctor, or perhaps it was aio cleaner. I turned on repeat reminders or whatever the option is called and learned in the morning that it was annoying as all hell. So I go into the app and turn it off. Well it continues to repeat reminders to me (such as my notification tone or vibrating) So I restart my phone. Kept it up. I uninstalled FB and Messenger and reinstalled them, and even went in them and turned off notifications for them. It continued. I've opened my phone and removed the battery, uninstalled aio and battery doctor, I've tried everything short of a factory reset! (That will be next if you can't help me solve this but I don't have enough high-speed data to get my music and games back if I do it this month) I have been keeping my phone on vibrate for the past few days so when it does repeat its not so obnoxious but I can't go completely without notifications. There seems to be no default Android setting to turn off repeat reminders and I've removed aio and battery doctor so I don't know what's going the order to the phone to repeat my reminders! I have an LG tribute 2 running the latest version of kit kat. Please help!

Hi, just a bit of a wild thought - on my HTC M9 there is a 'Repeat notification' function in Settings-Accessibility, if you have that on your LG, is it possible that whichever app you downloaded and switched repeat notifications on has also altered the setting in Accessibility?

Thanks Tommo47. You've helped me from tearing all my hair out. I don't think this is a logical place to put this annoying feature on though, I would have put it in Sounds & Notifications. Silly Google.
