I went to settings and tried to update several times it won't do it and my carrier is metro PC's any ideas

Which phone do you have and what's your current Android version?
I see from your other posts you have a Zmax Pro.
As stated in the other threads, you're probably not getting updates because there aren't any. From what I gather, ZTE aren't very good keeping their devices up to date.

That system update option in all our Settings menus is pretty much there mostly for appearances, functionally it's barely needed. OTA system updates and version upgrades become available to us when the carrier and/or the manufacturer releases them. So it doesn't really matter how often you tap on it, we typically can't initiate an update/upgrade ourselves.
