My recent month with Android

I was not sure if anyone else had a similar story, but I thought I would share mine. On Oct 7th of last month I gleefully purchased my Sprint HTC Hero, and was introduced into the wonderful world of Android. The wonderful app catalog and google integration made me a happy camper except; the hero's lack of a keyboard. I really wanted to try out a virtual keyboard, and I realized alas that it wasn't for me. I returned to Best Buy and exchanged the hero out for the Palm Pre. The palm was a nice phone with an excellent color display, and I really liked the design (black stone opening up to a keyboard); but the build quality (i.e slider almost feeling like it was coming apart), and the lack of apps, was disappointing to say the least. So, I returned to Best Buy hoping this would be my last trip and exchanged the Pre for the Samsung Moment. At first glance, this phone seemed to be my answer. It had a nice screen, android os, and a pretty good keyboard, but I had a fatal flaw with the phone. My battery constantly dies within an hour or two. I use Advanced Task Killer, attempted to condition the battery, but all was to no avail as the phone will just shut itself off. I understand that I probably just have a bad battery or phone, but I have just decided to throw in the towel with the phone and my venture with Sprint.

Lucky for me the phones and the phone plan are all still under the 30 day return period; so I am going to cancel the plan (with no early term penalty) and just exchange the moment out for the Motorola Droid tomorrow. Hopefully Verizon and the Droid will be what I am looking for in a phone.

I am sure the people at Best Buy hate me now, but with no restocking fee penalties, and a nice return policy; it is easy to feel like a phone tester and just try phones out.

Has anyone else returned that many phones or had experience like that?

I've done that to T-Mobile. Bought the myTouch. Returned it. Bought the Touch Pro 2. Returned it. Bought the myTouch. Returned it because there was dust in the screen. Fun times, but they never were disrespectful.
