Help my sd card says "preparing sd card. cheking for errors"

Hi, I'm new here and I'm having the problem that my sd card says "preparing sd card. cheking for errors" and its taking too damn long and it only has less than 1gb full cuz it doesn't let me pass stuff to the sd card please help

What kind of phone do you have? What is the brand name of the sd card? Where did you buy the sd card? There are a lot of fake sd cards that are sold.

My phone its an AT&T ZTE Z740, the sd brand is Micro sd HC10 32 gb, and I bought it by ebay...thought it was working fine it just recently started misbehaving completely

Do you by chance have another microSD card that you could test out?

Some cards fail sometimes - and, as @tube517 mentioned, some SD cards are actually fakes that will claim to have 32GB capacity but in reality only support half or less of that. In that case, the whole file system crashes in on itself once the actual capacity is used up.

My sd card has the tendency of like not supporting somethings like saying mount the storage device on the camera or making it unable to move apps to it....sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't i really don't mind the last two but what really pisses me off is that it erases apps sometimes after restarting the phone

Get a name brand sd card from a reputable source. It should not do any of what you mentioned. Believe me, I went through this last year and tried every method to try and fix it. I just ended up buying a new card and have had no mount/dismount messages or any apps being erased.
